Ok so I looked at every Glow plug today and are are good! But I did find a broke " COLD IDLE TIMING ADVANCE SOLENOID TEMP SWITCH " is what the guy from Ford called it, Do I need this during the summer months or can I just wait to replace?
The truck start a little rough when its cold right now!
There are some guys that claim there rig actually starts better without it. Mine was unplugged for (I don't know how long) before I noticed it, so I played with it a few days and couldn't tell a difference in the wat it started. This was in the summer though.
I can't imagine they cost very much though.
Check your exhaust, if it is puffing white smoke you need to speed the engine up because you are not getting complete combustion. There's not enough heat in the combustion chamber to start the fire quick enough. This could be bad since the unburned fuel will get into the oil and it will NEVER boil out. If the exhaust is clear, you're OK. As far as damaging the engine is concerned, it won't. It all depends on how much shake rattle and roll you can stand. I'd replace it as soon as I could just for the convenience.
yeah not terribly critical, you could theoretically just hold your pedal down about 20% and let it ldle for a few but i would try to replace when you can. Just dont go hard throttle until the needle moves up. Give it time to warm slightly.

Ok thanks guys and I did price it today Napa, Schuck dont even have it in computer but Ford dealer can get one for $71.31.. dang thing $$$$$
I found one at Oreilly's he told me $30. I didn't pick it up yet, not sure if it's the right one. But you would think that it is. I've ran mine all winter without one, I didn't have any problems as for as that's concerned.

I think Star means the FTE Parts Guy at the top of the page under Ford-Trucks Sponsors.
In the summer the only thing you won't have is your truck sounding like a powerstroke while its on the timming advance.

I will just paint it pink so no one will notice the sound!
