Try re-routing number 8 plug wire. Keep it as far away from number 7 plug wire as you can. It's a shot in the dark, but sometimes they will crossfire because they are next to each other in firing order sequence.
Took franklin2's advice, covered all the ignition wires in copex tubing (That is what the previous owner had on the old set). Still no good.
Got a service done on the old girl and asked old mate to have a look at it for me , he said "Had it on the machine, no codes and firing on all 8, could be just popping in the exhaust".
