The third member on the 9 inch 3.50 gear rear end is going out on me. Making a terrible death like moan even at lower speeds now, with a rattling bearings in the third member that sound like a chain dangling on the road with some high pitched sounds with it. I have located the third member for the truck with the right gear ratio (not easy to find by the way), and also a steering gear box with steering column and pittman arm for a conversion to true power steering while I am biting the bullit and paying for this.
My question is, can I expect much difference in performance with the new rear end, or will there be no noticable difference?
