manual transfer case, 91 expe ?
Does anybody know if explorers ever came with a manual transfer case rather then this crappy auto shift one that works all the time, untill I actually need it to work that is!!

My wife and I had a 91' Explorer Sport with 5 speed stick shift and manual transfer case and manual locking hubs; It was a fine automobile, we gave it to our youngest son when about 5 years ago when it had 200,00 miles; it still looked and ran almost like new, hard to believe. I still see it running around town. I our 02' 4wd E.B. Explorer had the same set up as the 91' model. The manufacturers don't want to make them simple anymore and to last a long time either.
