Start without using the clutch

my wifes 87 250 with the 7.3l has cruise control and im wondering how to disconect the neutral safety switch. on my toyota tacoma it was as easy as splicing the wire before the switch. Is this possible without messing up the cruise control? if it is would some one tell my how and possibly send some pics of the sensor.
thank you all in advance

The switch should have 4 wires. Two for the clutch (NSS) and the other two for the cruise control. The red/ light blue wires should be what you are looking for. Just need to connect them to bypass the interlock switch

My F250 already starts without the clutch. Sometimes it can be a curse, like when I get in the habit of starting it without the clutch and forget it's in gear! I almost ate the end of a big ol' horse trailer that way once. haha

The connector on mine was a perfect fit for a spade type fuse. Pull off the connector, push in the fuse and done. I think I used a 5 amp, it was long ago.

I disconnected that thing back in the earlly 90's only a few years after I bought the truck. I used the connector to make a dead-man switch with it.

i disconnected mine about a month back. i did it because you would have to jamb it hard to the floor to get it to start. But im so used to starting it with the clutch i still push it in. i just dont have to slam it so hard. At least if i keep with this habit. I wont be sayin," no was that a good idea or not?"

Thats part of the reason why i need to bypass it. its starting to get temperamental. also the same reason my toyota has it done, she almost left me stranded cuz of it.

Must be a big truck thing. Always make sure it is in neutral first.

I like being able to reach in to start it without getting in.

I have never jumped in a vehicle with a manual transmission and tried to start it while in gear. I was surprised I had to push the clutch in on my '86 IDI to start it. My '89 Wrangler isn't like. I assumed there was a cut-off year and the '86 was before it.

That seems to be vehicle specific, not year specific.

My sister in law has a Wrangler, late 90's model and it gon't have one either.

Fords still had them, Dodges still had them, Chevy I am not sure about I don't get around them.
