I just looked at a '03 ext cab 4x4 LB with 114k for $15k. Not sure if it was 7.3 or 6.0? Wasn't listed on the sticker
There's a few clues that point to the 6.0 2003 models but the best way to know - other than popping the hood - is the look at the VIN. If the eighth character in the VIN is "F" then it's a 7.3, if it's a "P" then it's a 6.0.
Good info Chris! I saw the price and ran. It had good tires and a newer candy red paint job too. Interior looked decent. I'm not looking to buy now anyways.
Did you know that the 8th digit from the right is the year? At least since '98 up until recently at least. I haven't been in the car biz for over a year! WooHoo for me!!!
Other clues that a 2003 truck is a 6.0 is the lighted mirrors and different door badge. However, many people swap those over to older trucks so it's not a reliable way to judge what engine the truck has. Use the VIN or pop the hood, the 6.0's look way different.
