well i was working on my truck today and went to bring up the window. On the new door i put on and the drivers side window does not do anything no noise or anything when i try to bring it up or down can someone help me fix this. The motor is used and dont know the condition
I dont know if the regulator is good how do i tell it still has power because if i push the switch i can pull it up but you cant even hear the motor what should i do please help.
well my did that what i had to do is replace the motor for the window, i replace the driver side motor, what happens is that the inside the motor gears will crack and break off, you can buy a kit to fix the motor, but i just ended up getting a new one hope this helps
If your gears in the motor itself had ground themselves up, you'd hear a whining noise (my passenger motor). Make sure you check the wiring its self. My driver's side wires had split when the motor slipped on the driver side recently.
how do i remove the motor and replace it i just rewired the door when i was changing the door. and all the other things work except that you just cant hear it plus it wont move up or down. But if you pull on it the window you can push it up and down.

What you can do is disconnect the motor the wire for the motor and get a tester like the voltage meter tester, and put in on the connection for where the motor attached to and see what it does, if nothing reading then there no power if its getting power then its your motor, so you have to drill 2 holes to get to the screws are at to take off the motor theres a total of 3 screws holding on the motor i believe. There should be 2 in dents where you will have to drive the holes.
