Fuel sender sump
I have the common problem of the fuel suction sump falling of the sending unit. The quick fix was to add about 2" of fuel inj. line. A new FOMOCO unit is almost 400.00. As I have 3 other trks with the same problem that's not happening. My concern is the added line deteriorating into the fuel system and no suction screen.
The sending units themselves work fine,any suggestions.
I have refilled the tank for the second time since adding the fuel line ext. now occasionally the fuel filter lite will come on or flicker. If I switch to the second tank it will go off. It will also act as it's running out of fuel but is not. I had recently changed the fuel filter and since the lite goes out on the other tank. I'm suspicious of the fuel line ext. to close to the bottom of the tank. Even thou the first fill-up went fine and I put a hose clamp on the ext.
