Question about a 94 F350 with a 460
When I bought my tow truck the guy had removed the stock airbox, and replaced it with two cone filters. He did nothing with the breather tube coming out of the valve cover. Well The motor had 31x,xxx miles on it when I bought the truck so I just left it alone and ordered a motor. Well I have still been using the truck to work out of, and oil is leaking everywhere. I tried putting a breather filter for a hotrod on it, but it leaked badly. Next I tried plugging it, that was not a good idea. So I am trying to figure out if there is a way to fix this problem without purchasing a stock air box before I put my new motor in? Also the EGR and smog pump aren't hooked up on this motor, but it was a hack job. How do I remove them the right way and not hurt my new motor? Thanks for any input.

If oil is coming out of the breather, then either the PCV valve is clogged up or there is so much blow-by that the PCV system can't keep up with it. With 310k on it, either one is likely. I would just go back to the stock airbox when you put the new motor in. Lots of people don't like the cone filter setup.
I would hook the EGR back up. You will get better mileage with it hooked up and working correctly. The smog pump might be seized and is not worth fixing unless you have to for emissions reasons.
