I am going from a 32 inch tire to a 33 1/2 inch tire. I have an 1995 f250 with a dana 60, shackle reversal kit, icon 3 inch block in the back. The truck is an extended cab long bed.
Should I experience much axle wrap/axle hop once I put the new tires and wheels on?
The only reason I ask is on my 04 1/4 f150 I went from 31s to 35s and the axle wrap was unbearable. I eventually put procomp ladder bars on to fix the issue. The f150 had a small 3-4 inch rancho kit that had a block in the back.
Are you having problems with axle wrap now? Spacer blocks and larger tires amplify the problem so the bigger you got the worse it gets. And even if it doesn't do it immediately the leafs will fatique over time from all the added flexing so sooner or later it will need traction bars.

I dont think I have it now and Im not going to a huge tire so I guess I will play it by ear.
If its too bad with the new tires/wheels, I guess I will go the ladder bar route again. That solved the issue.
Yeah there are few different designed bars out there, the over-spring versions put the bar under tension when the axle tries to wrap so the bar doesn't need any reinforcement, and the location also retains full ground clearance so it's the better option for a truck IMO.. unless it's a street truck of course.

Thanks for the info. Yeah. Ground clearance was pretty bad with those procomps I had.
