Sticker Removal

I am getting my cracked windshield replaced today and I was wondering if any one knows how I can remove my "Made in Kentucky Truck Plant" sticker without damaging it so that I can place it on my new windshield? Thanks, John

Heat gun, carefully, and after the old windshield is off. The sticky should come off with it.

You may have to do B4 they start working on the old windshield. Most of the ones I have seen replaced have been smashed prior to removal.

Thanks for all the help guys. It came off real clean with the heat gun. Now to get it back on the new windshield. Do you think some heat would reactivate the sticky that is left on the sticker, or will I need some additional adhesive? If so, what would you recommend?

I would clean the area with rubbing alcohol first then try heat if that doesn't work would look for a clear spray on adhesive.

I have been thinking about this my self my windshield just cracked and hopefully I can get it fixed with out getting it replaced. but the crack is right at edge of what they will repair so not sure yet

You might check with your Ford dealer to see if they can get a replacement from the Kentucky Ford Plant. I seem to recall someone has done this in the past on Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com but it has been a few years ago.
