None, because back then, no Route 66 sign was considered historical and AFAIK, no one else except the anonymous person had the foresight to save any.

AFAIK, only one, but it's one of only two END ROUTE 66 signs. The other was located at the east end of Wacker Drive in Chicago. Did anyone save it? Probably not.
Plain 'ol Route 66 signs have been reproduced, the city of Azusa has them along their section of Route 66 and sponsors a Route 66 cruise once a year.

Anonymous friend collects auto related tin, enamel, porcelain and neon signs, not camper shells. Next time you're in the area, swing on by, I'll take you to his home, show you his collection.
What year did the first neon sign appear in North America, where was it located and what did it read? I know, do you? Probably not.
And btw: Older camper shells are not that hard to find, at least here in LA LA Land. Whiz thru neighborhoods, you'll see them resting alongside garages, in backyards and at trailer parks.
The truck I bought in Felton (you should know where that is, unless your brain has turned to mush) came with a shell. It had been home for many years for raccoons, squirrels, mice and rats.
Was so mangy and stunk to high heaven, it wouldn't have be suitable...except for someone whose brain had turned to mush.

Wow!! I live in a new (three years ago) two bedroom home. It has a gas stove, and instant hot water with an electric hot water back up. Oil, Electric and wood heat. Washer and dryer and dishwasher all for $451.00 a month. Everything included. It don't get any better than this anywhere I don't think. Life is good.
