I've looked in Dennis Carpenter, LMC, and NPD. These suppliers do not have any of the ducting thats is the flexable stuff that is under the dash of our trucks. Where the heck can I find this stuff?

Check with NPD again but use early Mustangs for your application. The ducting should be the same ID... maybe the length too.

Dryer ducting is 4-inch... if ya can't find or locate OEM or repro ducting, auto parts stores sell flexible aluminum ducting intended for heat risers (btwn the exhaust manifold heat shields to the air cleaner intake)...Bring your ratty ducts with you for comparison. Lastly, I think you'll still have to figure out how to secure them so they stay in place... zip ties maybe.

Following up......NPD and LMC both carry ducting with 2.5-inch ID for 56-72 rigs...measure your ID and maybe it's the same... NPD sells it in a 6-foot length. PNs are 18556-1A and F-18556-3A.

I would worry that the cheap Flex aluminum ducting would get dented up and not let all air flow thru them

I have the OEM hard plastic duct that runs behind the instrument cluster. I check the junk yards, and get when I find it. pm me if you want pics or are interested.

Go ahead and worry cuz it's your call to do or not... I'm only providing resources or alternatives that may not be readily apparent if there is no junkyard within a reasonable distance. "Reasonable" as in a distance that's also for you to decide.

I saw all the ones your talking about. I have the problem of it being ripped at the register where it clamps. It is square at the register and the clamp is built into the ducting. Any ideas is to how to secure the round ducting to the square register?

I think NASA solved the square peg round hold problem back in the 70's... J/K. For mine I used fiberglass and a PVC fitting to make an adapter that I attached to the duct. It isn't beautiful but it works and it's not like it gets seen anyways.
