Torque converter lockup
I have an early build 1 with spartan tuner and doc/dpf delete, as well as an AFE proguard 7 (love it as a stock replacement!).
I'm getting better mpg, but it's much better when the torque converter is locked up. Is it possible to lock it up at lower speeds? I would like to know if it's possible to mauanlly override and force it to lock up via switch, or if it would be possible to get spartan to "tune" this in order to get a max miliage tune.
Thoughts? I searched and found nothing.

in stock form you cannot do anything with it. I suggest that you call spartan and talk to them about a TCM program so that you can do that.
I agree best mpg's is with the tcc locked.

I did... i have the tune. just need to load her up and check it out!

A while back (a few years) there were several folks on ebay selling a TC lock up switch. I had one on my 7.3 and it worked great as long as I didn't forget to unlock it before I got too slow. I don't know if they ever made one for the 6.0 or 6.4 but if it can be done somebody is probably selling it on ebay. The name TC diesel rings a bell but I'm not sure.
