I bought an "EX" in Texas last Monday drove it home and have been doing alot of cleaning and PM work since then. It's a 2002 7.3L PS 180K on the clock. We bought because we plan on do some towing, (travel trailer, car trailers and stuff) The wife and I both wanted a diesel and bought the X because there is plenty of room for people and the pups. Diesels are new to me, I'll be spending plenty of time reading and learning. I was able to find the door key code on this sight which did please me greatly. Plans for the near future include new ball joints upper and lower and a Banks exhaust system, and clean, clean then clean some more.
So hello from St. Louis and thanks for all I've learned so far.
welcome to the site, diesels are kind of a mystery to me, but theres always someone posting issues involving them, day or night. hope it turns out to be a great ride for you
It's been helpful so far. I sure it will continue to be. I'm amazed at the number of people on this site. I'm on the Taurus SHO site alot there are more people on here now than visit the SHO site all day.
sho's arent that common where i'm at, but theres a few scattered here and there. did they make a sho for the new taurus or not? i don't really follow car news
Yep they made a 3.5L V6 with twin turbos, sweet car but it's way bigger than the old SHOs.
The old ones are more of a drivers car, the new ones need a little noise to let you know they are haul'n butt. Too quiet for me. But I'd buy one in a minute if I could afford it.
