I spend a lot of time here so figured I had better introduce myself. My name is Mike and I am a plumber by profession but a flusterated customizer by fate. My dad bought me my first car in 1960. It was a 53 Rambler and the first thing I did was take the flying lady off the hood. Bondo was new at that time and I had to fill the holes 3 times to make it stay. Used mom's fingernail polish to paint it (holes). Had to redo it about every 2 months. It was a red car. (the good old days, remember?) Since then I've painted 50-60 cars and done lots of trick stuff to them. Some of it worked, some didn't (it's just a hobby you know).
Many years later, here I am.My wife says almost every car I've had has developed a primer rash at one time or another so love the bodywork forum.
I have had several ford trucks including a 71, new73, 75, 76,78 and the 2 I have now. A 79 F150 with a 302/c4 and a perfect interior I paid $650 for (put a new carb on, runs good now) and last week I got a 77F20 400/c6 with almost new tires for$450. It needs a door but it runs like new so I enjoy these forums also.
Looking forward to learning and sharing here
Later
Mike
