truck used for work

I was wondering if any of you guys use you truck for work? I have been thinking of using a 1 ton and a trailer for hotshot loads around the Texas area. I was just wanting to find out if anyone uses their F350 or 250 or maybe 550 for this kind of work and if it worked out for them... I am wanting a F350 SRW or DRW for this kind of work..... Besides my wife,,,her initials are PSD so I can only think of this as destiny,,,,,what do you think !!!!!!!

If you're going to do "professional" hauling, then you should get the DRW truck. It'll allow you to carry larger loads and will do it more safely.

As a side note, be sure to check out govermentment regulations as well as insurance requirements for your area.

I agree with NoMo. We have a lot of "hot shot" type rigs come into our yard with various types of materials loaded on trailers of various sizes and shapes. They all are equipped with DRW. Jake.

Thanks fella's.....Iam going with the DRW....I just gotta get it started..Lots of regulations though if your over 26000 gvw unless I can find a good company that hire owner operators..There is one that I have been inquiring about... Its called Tracer,,its part of the Jones company..They hire people with 1 tons and they say its pretty lucrative..I hope that I get a return on my inquiry..Also I hope there is alot of business in Texas..If not I think I can drum up enough here....Any suggestions?????
