Exclamation 6 SPEED CLUTCH PROBLEM

I just recently (2 weeks ago) traded in my 97 auto powerstroke in and bought a 2000 with the 6 speed manual. Truck has 177,000 Miles on it and seems to have been kept up with well. When I first got the truck it shifted good only thing was the clutch was always close to the floor, which I talked to someone else with the same truck and they said that their clutch acted the same since new so I didnt worry about it. But today I noticed that the truck started getting hard to get into gear and shift. The reservior is topped off and clutch seems good doesnt slip. I did notice though that there is around 1/4" of play in the plastic bushing on the clutch rod to pedal bushing. Could this be the problem or something else? I already ordered the fix for that on ebay and should be here by the end of the week.
-----------------Thanks, Jeremy

Yes that could be the problem. But is it hard to get in all gears or just a few.

Its tough in all gears about impossible in reverse, but strangely gets easier as I try to put it in higher gears

It could also be your hydraulic system, (slave and master cylinder) A bent fork will do it also.
I have had them all!!

Okay hopefully its something simple if the improved bushing doesnt fix it then maybe the master and/or slave cylinders are wore and ill replace them.
