78/79 power steering
My 78 f 250 4x4 is on a 72-77 frame. it has the control valve power steering setup pn it. my contril valve leaks and needs rebuilt. i would like to switch in the integral power steering. What year models could i get the integral setup off of. i no they used that setup in the 80's, just dont know if it would fit. i just want to know what i need to go lookin for in the junk yard. i know this is a popular swap so if anybody has any advise or pics, that would be great.

go to www.fordification.com and look around in there I found the diagram and step by step info there once but cant tell you just where..

It's not a 1972 frame if it has P/S. P/S was not available until 1973 in 4WD's.

All 1973's, 1974 F250 4WD's before serial number T80,001 used GARRISON Power Assist P/S.
1974's from serial number T80,001, 1975/77 F250 4WD's (High Boys) used BENDIX Power Assist P/S.
The parts for the Garrison system do not interchange with the Bendix system.
