Changed my fuel filter today. Only the second time I've done it since I did the bb mod in the FPR.
What I found/did:
Buncha gray crap in the bottom of the fuel bowl. Wiped it out as best I could.
See pic.
Managed to partially knock this little screen off trying to pull the FPR away from the bowl. Reassembled as is. OK? Or do I need to replace something here? I will be putting a new o-ring on it in the future. Got into this Sunday afternoon and nothing is open.
Filter was filthy. See pic.
Anxious to hear observations/comments/suggestions.
I have no idea what the stuff could be. Hoping someone here has seen it before. If it is algae, I'll take care of it, but no point in dumping stuff into the tank unless it is what I need.
No other suggestions, guys? Not doubting Farm69's word, but I'd fell a lot more confident in the diagnosis if I had a second or third opinion on the matter.
I know a bunch of you folks have a ton of experience with fuel system issues. What say you?
