Transmission Growl in drive

e99 f250 4r100. So this is a weird one. I just installed a sandersons shackles 2.5" front end lift now i have a transmission growl. It seems like the transmission because it will only do it in drive, 2, and 1. It will not growl in reverse, park or neutral. The growling goes away went some throttle is applied. Will not do it in park or neutral which makes me pretty sure its the trans. Any ideas where to go on this one? The trans was rebuilt 15,000 miles ago by ford, hopefully it ain't going up....Oh, and it only seems to growl when the fluid has warmed up. Didn't do it this morning when i first started it. Maybe i need a synthetic fluid change???

Ok, well i just drove 30 miles home and i've gathered some more information. The growling develops when low rpms approach when droving. When i get to around 700 it starts. It now does it in reverse and park. If i move slighty it stops then starts again. Applying the brakes stops it only for a few seconds. But, turning my wheel slightly to the left with make it happen and make it louder every time in drive, park, and neutral. Sounds maybe like a power steering pump bearing going bad? or maybe a harmonic balancer. I'ma try tomorrow and run the truck without the belt and see if it goes away to eliminate some more.

Maybe a good synthetic powersteering flush wouldn't hurt, one of the most overlooked fluid changeouts there is next to brakes and tranny fluid.

Check to make 100% sure the trans isn't hitting the frame. Check the rubber isolator on the trans mount, the transfer case mount, the downpipe, the exhaust; pretty much anything that vibrates and could contact the frame I would look at...
