Warn Premium Hub Question
My and my son are changing my Warn standard hubs to premium hubs because the standard hubs are getting pretty beat up.
The previous owner installed the hubs and I am not 100% confident that they were installed correctly so I am posting a picture as to all the parts the came off as I took off the old hub.
There were 2 large springs. 1 was on the up against the backside where you turn the hub to lock it and unlock it and the other was a larger spring that was left after I took the entire 2 pieces of the locking hub off.
There was also a keyed semi circle that was behind the bigger spring that was also there when I took the entire existing locking hub out.
There was also a large retaining ring that held the hub in place once I took the outside part off.
The hubs came with a 2 locking washers (1 in each baggie - with the screws)
The Warn instructions were less than helpful and their customer support was a single sentence in fragmented english.
So here is my question.
Based on the picture below (of the parts that came off the truck). What needs to go back in and what do I do with the locking washers that came with the new hubs.
Thanks again everyone.
I installed the hub body and cap then reused the snap ring that was in there.
The only thing I was unsure about was the keyed semi circle piece. I put it in like it was when I took it apart.
I jacked 1 tire off the ground and locked the hubs. With it in 2wd I saw the front drive shaft turn as I rotates the tire by hand when hub was engaged and would not turn when the hubs were not ungaged so I think it's correct.
I would be anxious to hear someone elses experience.
Thanks
