4.9L 300 Engine replacement.

I recently (last month) bought a re-manufactured long block and took on a task I had not done in many years. I spent about a week doing it but it is running good. I threw all that emissions stuff into a box and plugged all the vacuum leaks. I would like to buy a new carb and get rid of the block between the carb and the intake manifold. Any suggestions?

You will need an older carb to be jetted correct and you will need to do some distributor work or its going to ping at partial throttle.
It may be easier to put the emissions back in place.

If you got the cash an Offy dual plane manifold and a four barrel would be the ultimate choice.

This sounds like the ticket.
