Here's a link: RVTradeDigest.com Blog Cheap Chinese tires cause big blowouts. The ones I have seen fail in three years or less are Mastertrack. The piece is a little old, but it spells out the situation. I wish I would have taken some pictures as you would not believe how the tires looked in relation to their age.

yup, I sent a e-mail to the regional sales rep for KZ asking him to get with his people and lets find out who makes them.

We will see. To tell you the truth I think they will be find for at least a season then I will swap them out.

Senix,

For me this issue would by no means be a deal breaker. I think it is excellent you contacted the manufacturer with your concerns as that is the only way we can make changes. In terms of use, I would simply make sure I ran them at max. sidewall pressures and keep an eye on them. I think, with care, you can get several years out of them. Being vigilant is a big part of maintenance.

My 2 year warranty was up, but they would have replaced the tires with what was on it new, which I was not going to let them do.
I fixed the damage myself and put a set of Michelans on it. We shall see.
7,000 miles so far and they hold air and roll, so far so good.

I would think that they would be ok for a season also, I ran mine really hard for 2 years before they went. But I would definitly change them before the warranty is up.

The sun is hard on everything. I keep mine inside. I hope Senix gets the Stonridge, it is beautiful, the tires are an easy fix. I am on the road right now and am going to stop at a dealer and look at one soon.

Hitch install on Thurs and pick up on Friday at 4pm. Then plans are to tow with it some over the weekend while re-loading everything from the old TT.

Want to do some towing with it while I am not in a rush, get used to it and also want to see how big a garden hose I am going to need for those injectors to stay happy.

trading in a 96 Chateau Millienium 2000 27'. has three bunks plus sofa, table and queen.

Lots of miles on that thing but everything still works just fine. Someone will get some good use as a starter TT.

ok Here is a copy from the regional sales rep for kz on the tires:

Hi Scott - OK, visited w/corporate vice president of sales/marketing & KZ's purchasing manager. Tires are a brand called TireCo. They are out of California and their phone no. is 1-800-227-8925. You can call them with any questions or their website is Tireco - Your Complete Tire < Wheel Source!. These tires are not part of the tires that were recalled out of China. Hope this helps! Doug

Know nothing about current tires, but TireCo is one of distributors for Hangzhou, the manufacturer who made the tires that were regarded as hazardous in the past.

yeah, they are a distributor to get the tires in the U.S. I will call them as I don't see the High-Life that is on my tires listed.

I suppose as I keep drilling down here they will either come clean with everything I need to know or we will learn together. (KZ and me).
