Dont know if you guys have seen this before ,but its pretty awesome. These two 2011 Superdutys which I believe are 450s have drag race while pulling two CAT loaders which 100,000 pounds each! Dont know if thats right but thats what it says and I think its pretty impressive. So check it out its really cool!!
Not impressed. That V10 TDI is one mean engine, but my 02 could pull the 747, it's not that difficult. They are designed to be pulled around, and it's on pavement. Pulling those Cat loaders on loose dirt and gravel was much harder.
I'm surprised they actually got them moving. I would've guessed that they would start spinning the tires and not move at all. That's pretty impressive if you ask me.
not really impressive when a 300lb man can pull an airplane on tarmac! hell i've seen a corolla pull start a loaded tractor trailer! that was more impressive than the v-10 vdub! i'ld like to see the vw try to pull the front loaders on the gravel! i don't think it could do it. and i think the vw one had a little help from the jet why else would they play music instead of letting you hear the engine or engines doing the work.
The driver in the dark truck really had the wheel speed up right from the take off. Even though it was a very short run, it showed some toughness of the drivetrain.
Both videos are prety impressive but the CAT loader is on compacted gravel...not loose gravel so there is minimal difference there...AND the EW of a 747 is about 472,900#...almost 5 times the weight of the loader.

My vote goes to the Vdub...
i think the vdub vid is a stunt they have the music on it so you can't hear the jet assisting the vdub!

You need to evaluate what is impressive
You have to consider rolling resistance. I was pushing train carts at the age of 10. The resistance is so minimal that once you put your back on some support -100 lb will make the cart moving.
On aired tires there is big resistance from tires itself. The airplanes use low pressure in their tires, what cost high resistance, the bulldozers have high pressure because they carry additional load and they have very hard (easy to roll) rubber for driving in rough terrain.
Rolling tire resistance doesn't change much from asphalt to compacted gravel. Would that be soft sand, that would be different story.
