D66 report

Newly installed D66 turbo took me on a 300+ mile ride today, lol. Maybe I just have to have my chip reburned because I'm not impressed. It performed about the same as the stock turbo. 30psi unloaded, about the same as before and I didn't really notice any big gains in hp. I've read this on here before that boost #'s are about the same but the air volume is increased. I just can't seem to get ahold of Tony to get a reburn, who is the top burner now, DP or or or I can't think of the other? Travis, if your listening, you wanted adrenaline hpop #'s, the scan gauge would jump to 2,900 immediately upon WOT and then drop to 2,400 to 2,700 back and forth until the speedo was straight up and down!!

From my understanding there isn't as much diff in stock vs d66.
The d66 is bigger, and has ball bearings, it also should move more air as well.

But, the truck still has to know how to use it, as dumb as that sounds.

I'd stick with tony glenn.

I really want an adrenallin.

The D66 is a stock turbo with a 66mm wheel in it.
It will move more air and help with egt's.

Glenn
From a change to the 66 from your old 1.00a/r setup
You might see a very little lag to boost but it should
clean the smoke better and have less egt. You really should
not need a reburn of the chip. As far as seat of the pants, its
about the same but you should see less egt's.

Tal
No ball bearing in the 66

Nope not true. Like Bill said the only difference between stock and D66 is the compressor is a 66mm which is larger than stock. Bearings are the same.
