6637, Good stuff?

Just wondering, I was thinking of replacing my stock box with the 6637 from Riff Raff,
Any problems or recomendations?
I know this is a common question, but I just wanted some new input from people who have been using it for a long time.
is it worth doing?

Sure is a good idea. You will hear the sucking of the air more pronounced. Simple to swap, I know cause I did it myself

X2 on that

Cheaper filters, more filter material, better air flow... relatively cheap modification too. I don't think I've got a pic of mine posted yet.

Clay has it as a kit over at riffraff with a black powder coated adapter tube, t-bolt clamp and good looking Pete's cover. (Saves having to track down the parts separately, especially considering that his prices are so reasonable.) He's good people too.

I like mine and have not had any issues and do not have any concerns.

Plus I think it looks cool, its one big *** filter.

Only downsides are increased noise (yes some of us DO want it quiet) and sucks air from under hood instead of out front.

It has been discussed and arguably proven that the underhood air vs fresh air doesn't really make any difference with the intercooler and turbo.

Will this filter work on the plastic K&N cold-air intake ? The K&N seems to be letting a bit of dust in and that's the last thing I want.

Thanks !

thats how I did mine. I bought it used with a K&N, you may have to trim the battery tray and you will have to remove the K&N box but the filter will slip right over the intake tube.
