1994 F-150

I've got a 2 door 2WD 1994 F-150 XLT, stock rims and tires (I think 15" rims and 235's). I wanted to put some bigger tires on it and was hoping to fit some 33's. I have plenty of room in the back, but the front seems to fall short a few inches. I'm assuming I need some sort of lift, or at least a leveling kit. I do not know much a bout tires and lifts, so I don't really know where to start looking for the best deals. I know there are different types of lifts, though I'm not too clear on what each does. I was hoping I could get some advice on the better lift type and maybe tires size, as well as perhaps a good place to go about looking for them. I live in Corpus Christi, TX. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

You're going to need at least a 2" leveling kit to clear 33's on a 2wd truck and even that may be a tight fit. Because of the way the front suspension in your truck is designed, you will need to install camber bushings to correct for a 2" lift in order to get it aligned. For a 4wd truck, any good shop will know what these are and be able to get them, but I don't know how easy they are going to be to find for a 2wd truck. Make sure that you are able to get these for your truck and that the shop knows they have to use them. There was a user in here a week or two ago and the shop just put the kit on and let him worry about the alignment - not good!
