Ok, I'm getting ready to do some upgrades to the truck. Here they are, be sure to tell me what i can expect....ARP head studs, gaskets, 70 HP injectors, egr delete, glow plugs while we're in there (113K miles), turbo back exhaust into stacks. I also have the Edge evolution tuner, just got that about a month ago.
The edge is pretty limiting factor, especially since you are wanting to go with bigger injectors, you really should be looking into doing custom tuning. That will give you the most benefit with regard to those bigger injectors.
Speaking of the bigger injectors, I would make sure that you have an in-cab fuel psi gauge as well. Your fuel pump is going to need to be monitored. My stocker lasted 2 months after my bigger injectors went in. Also look into ITP's Fuel Regulated Return as that will do away with the dead-heading that is on these trucks, which will also help with injector longevity.
1. Toss the Edge products. Here's a list of parts for you.
Injectors 175 and below for towing (heavy) If not 190cc Injectors. Honeslt I'd go with Full Force Diesel aka Casserly one of the best out there.
Fuel system is a must going anything bigger then 155cc injectors. So Regulated Return, and or Airdog 100 for smaller injectors, Airdog 150 if you going 190's and bigger.
Turbo depends what your looking for, if you looking for high power and soso on driveability 64mm Non VGT is not to bad but tuning is the biggest issue to get it road ready. If you want steady power but good driveability stay with a VGT, Stage 2 VGT, VGT-SS from Elite Diesel, Garrett's new powermax Turbo for the 6.0.
ARP's, stock head gaskets are fine, Coolant filration kit from Dieselsite.com, EGR delete, exhaust, Gauges are Trans, Boost, EGT's, If you can Fuel Pressure, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp, Oil Pressure later down the road.

I would say even with 155s he should do a fuel system.

I have zero driving problems with my 64mm and that includes towing ~16k worth of horseflesh. If you are having soso driving, then you really need to think about having your tunes either redone or done by someone else. Tuning is a big factor, but if I remember correctly you had an issue with a deadspot and I just don't have that. If I am remembering correctly and you still have that issue, then time to redo the tunes.
Dean that guy is an idiot, ppl love talking about how he thinks he knows everything about a 6.0.
Tex as for me tuning was driving me nuts that was the major problem and trying to get it right was another, probably went through about 8 different tunes trying to fix it.
