drop center bumpers?

has anyone mounted a drop center bumper on their old fords? im looking at a 8 or 10 inch drop center bumper and wanted to know if anyone has put these on and if they liked them or not.

What exactly is a drop center bumper??

well some call them cowboy bumpers. but the center section is 8-10 inches lower than the ends of the bumper. really popular on late model trucks

Drop Center originally was the name for a certain type of step bumper.

The center section was lower than the rest of the bumper, because a trailer hitch ball could be mounted there.

I know what a rear step looks like, I can't imagine that on the front of the truck.

Ford did not offer a step bumper for the front of any truck...all were used on the rear only, but...

Some aftermarket bumper companies did offer a front step bumper that a winch or a trailer hitch ball could be mounted on.

Oh, I see. I've seen a few trucks with a ball on the front, but they were usually strapped on somehow.
