Hey there my fellow IDI enthusiasts...I heard of an IDI weekend in Kentucky USA and realized we should have a canadian one. I was thinking at the end of Harrison Lake where you don't have to pay to camp and pretty much have one big party. I don't feel like driving to Kentucky to show my diesel bronco off.
Nto really that difficult to put a 6.9/7.3 IDI in a bronco..the frame rail takes it no problem...The only thing you really have to change is the motormount crossmembers from the f250 to the bronco and the axles...I did mine in a weekend working on it from 6:00AM untill 9:00 at night.. I took out the c6 and converted it from a C6 to a ZF5 which really really helps with mileage.. cost me about $2600 after everything was done.
PS...also for those who don't know what i'm talking about on harrison lake canada...it's in British Columbia about 45min away from Vancouver...where the Olympics were held..in the summer it gets really really hot but even then our winters aren't snowy like some people think..today it was 55F for it bening winter
i am in victoria so i would definitely be there!! The ferry out of nanaimo is running all the time and the fam would love to get outdoors! Bring on the sun and fun!
Well you still have the ferry to deal with and stuff like that which sucks...hows the weather in Campbell River?
Weather here is great. For the most part it simply rains in the winter. Summers are hit and miss though. We had a really heavy 4 week heat wave last year that was too much for me. The year before rarely got to the mid 20s.
Was a mild winter this year, so maybe that means a hot summer.
I think its been over 10 years since I've been to the mainland. Just didn't have any reason to go there but did want to drive some more of this province.
I have been over much of BC and everybodys opinion of beautiful scenery is different. All states have some good scenery and some bad to me, but I can actually say if there is part of BC that I don't like ,I don't know where it is as far as scenery is except for the cities.
Dave we ought to meet someday in nanaimo or close if you are ever in the area.
Hmm, as far as I know, there are 4 active members on the island. There's you, royzell (cobble hill I think), Ekart (comox), and me (CR). Thats probably enough to get into some trouble if everyone showed up at once lol.
I'm normally in south nanaimo (cedar) near the end of every week. Won't be making it that with this week because of work and my truck being down. You know any good places?
