ok guys heres the thing. ive got an 86 ford bronco 2 and now have no heat. i had a radiator leak and had to use the alumiseal stuff at auto zone to get home. that left me with a good news bad news senario.
good news is my rad no longer leaks.
bad is my heater is gone.
my question is that if the gate valve is stopped up is there any way i can clean it and just put it back or will it hurt anything to just get rid of it and be done with it. im pretty sure i have one (looks like a piece of pipe a lil thicker than the hose itself and mad of aluminum and is about 4 to 6 inches long. it is threaded into the pump. the hose gets warm about half way up the lenth but no more. my pump is moveing water good and im not sure if my core is stopped up or if thats it. i just dropped in a thermo a month ago because the thing wouldnt warm up.
