83 F350 engine swap
Do I need to change distributor gears?
Will the eccentric bolt right on or do I need to change the timing set?
Are the motors balanced the same so I can reuse my clutch/flywheel?
Are the water pumps the same or do I need to use the old one?
Any other details I may be missing?
I need to be able to do this in a weekend so I can get it back out of the shop.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I didn't on the 302 FI swap I did, and it worked fine.
Will the eccentric bolt right on or do I need to change the timing set?
It bolted right on my 302 swap, the 351w should be no different.

351w never changed their balance like the 302 did.
Are the water pumps the same or do I need to use the old one?
The waterpump should be different because the old engine was a v-belt setup and the new engine is a serpentine setup, so the waterpump and fan turn backwards. Use the timing cover, waterpump, v-belt pullies, etc. off the old engine. When I swapped timing covers on my 302, I had to drill the dowel alignment holes out to 1/2", but then it fit fine, and let me use a regular fuel pump.
When I swapped the carb manifold on the later 302, the gasket set I had gave me two different intake gaskets. I scratched my head a little bit and found the later intake gaskets were the ones to use in my swap.
