New Owner Introduction
From looking through parts catalogs, it seems like there's a separate wiring harness for the headlights and indicators that's supposed to plug in somewhere on the inner fender? I'm asking because it seems that there's been some amateur wiring done on this truck. My wiring for all the lights comes from the firewall to the driver's side headlight and indicator, then splits and goes to the passenger headlight. There is no connector for the passenger side indicator. There is one stray wire but the connector is totally different than the plug on the indicator. I'm thinking it could be for the horn. Is there something I'm missing here or do I need to get out the voltmeter and do some legwork?

Wiring headaches? Take a look at my drawings in my #4 gallery. Those might help.
"Amatuer" wiring is a common situation on our trucks. Most of the time a complete rewiring is highly recommended either replacing the stock 50 year old wire and all the PO (previous owners) "modifications" with new wire and connectors if you are not planning (m)any electrical additions, as Julie and other near stockers advocate, or adding a new aftermarket modern fuse panel and wiring kit such as offered by EZ Wire as us darksiders prefer, each option has pros and cons. The last recommendation you'll see tho is buying a stock replacement wiring harness, as unless you are after a 100 pt. restoration, they are very overpriced and inflexible. See the frequent wiring topic discussions.

Wiring is not something to be overlooked, especially if it is suspect, flames look good on the fenders but not real ones
replacing the entire truck's wiring is not as hard as it appears with the right help, patience, time and planning. You will always find some helpful advice here I am sure
