cylinder head question

I was wondering if anyone knew where to look for either reconditioned iron heads or some used aluminum heads. I know there is a ton of them out there, but I have already got my pistons so in order to get the compression that I want, they have to be around 75 cc chambers. I would like to build my 460 with some aluminum heads, but from what I have seen, they aren't in my price range. Also, has Edelbrock ever made a Performer head for the 385 series? I have seen the Performer RPM but no Performer. Thanks!

ebay, 460ford.com and 429-460.com are three places i would start to look and they also pop up once and awhile on the local kijiji site here.

there are always used heads on ebay as well as new ones, and the other two sites guys are always selling their heads to upgrade to better heads.

unless you are buying new or from someone that you know real well, always asume that no matter what you buy, you are going to have to spend money refurbishing them so keep that in mind when comparing to new heads.

and you will see lots of Procomp heads for sell for what looks like a real good price. there is a reason they are half price of a good set of aftermarket heads. you get what you pay for should say it all.

Ok, thanks. I have heard the guys on 460ford.com talk about the procomp heads and how they are junk. I will keep it in mind.
