D44 Gear Ratio?

I just bought a d44 ttb and the owner didn't have the original truck's vin and the axle didn't have the tag on it. So how can I determine the gear ratio? Such as the number of turns the pinion takes to make the wheel make one rotation?

That's a good way to do it. Get a helper though, and lock both hubs in and turn both wheels at the same time.

you can also just jack up one side of the front end and lock both hubs in this will give you the same results as trying to tuen both wheels the exact same.

What's My Gear Ratio?

turning one wheel makes the driveshaft turn at 1/2 the speed than turning both wheels at the same time, it just changes the math.
