yeah, it was the allen tool fitting that stripped. I think I might know someone with a welder that can do it.
Armstrong, I sure dont think it is plastic, because it has that fresh orange/red rust color on it because the gasket is gone where the hood meets the cowling and water gets down there and sits

WE GOT IT.... a buddy of mine came over and we did a few other things. hooked up water temp gauge, then I said I was thinking of just running to the mechanic and let him pull the stripped bolt out. My buddy had an idea I didn't think of. We just tapped a large Torx bit into the stripped out hole and with little effort it came right out.
Then we hooked up the oil pressure gauge while our wives griped because they were trying to go somewhere and leave the kids with us. They got over it though.haha
