I got a new engine yesterday. I got it as a 'rebuilder' from a junk yard. When I talked to the guy about ordering it, I told him I needed a 351 out of a 92 F150. So I think he just went and got a motor out of a 92-96 F series truck, which is OK with me.
However, I would like to be able to identify the year and model truck this engine was out of and I am not sure if there is something on the engine I got which would help me. I don't think the guy at the yard where the engine came from has that detail so I need to be able to use something from the engine. I didn't see a VIN tag but I am not sure where to look for that, so it could be on there but I might have missed seeing it.
Do you have any idea about the numbers printed on a sticker that is on the intake manifold, passenger side, towards the back? I see a 5 digit number then a 3 digit number (I think). Not sure what they mean.

I have no idea off hand. Might help to see it. Or maybe someone else will have a better idea.
I found the only ford part number on the block and it was a little hard to read but I think I got it: F0AE-6015-AA-11
So let's see... F0 is 1990
A means that it was a ford vehicle after 1958
E means it came from Engine Engineering; Powertrain and Chassis product Engineering
