Hi all, I have a 95 F150 auto trans 4x4 with a tired 4.9 litre.
I've bought a 94 F150 standard trans 2 wheel drive with low kms.
Planning to swap the engines around, the 94 has air in head and the 95 does not. Whats the best way around this? Change heads? Replumb?
Hmmm, Thanks for all responses in advance !!! <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->
Just take out the pipe like fittings that fit in the head, and get bolts with the same thread. Then put some high temp silicon on them. It's not worth having them air pipes and such, so just bypass
I do remember on local yards a couple of engines with some pipes on head. Ford Venezuela never assembly trucks here using 300 EFI, just carby versions. There are a few guys like me having 300 EFI because I did assembly my own truck after a mayor rollOver.
Emission is law here from 2000 and newer trucks/cars.

Have U seen the Argentine Fords there? How bout the 250 I6?
I'm on an 'aussie'/'down under' form and it is a nice experience, but is cross cultural & have made a few mistakes 8-0 (even tho it's english lang)!
Don't know how old U R or if vehicles 'stick around' / R seen in your circles but do U C the Argentine Fords? Some have MEAN 250s in them (stock/oem). I'd like to hear...
Thanks,
keep your eyes open, let me know of any fourms/sites down there that may follow them. There's models all over the world & it's a nice size.
I see modern engines grouping around that displacement. I see modern similar sixes as well.
