double din vs single din
I'm on a kick that i want a new cd player. The stock on just isnt doing for me. I'm debating on a double din with dvd for my daughter when she gets alittle older, or a single with the "storage" on the top instead of the bottom. Can i see some pics so i can see what they look like installed?
Don't have it installed yet, but I just bought this baby to replace my factory unit. Can't wait to see how it performs....

I got it on Ebay for around $250. I'm not sure I would recommend it again though. The top 5 buttons are very small and very hard to read to see what they do and the main **** in the middle doesn't appeal to me. You use it to change channel as well as volume and if you slip on the volume you can accidentally change channel. Other than that though it works very well with my iPod as well as Sirius Satellite radio. If you have for the money I would go for one of the touch screen options.
Edit: Also the bluetooth system works very well. So I wouldn't count it out but I think there are some better more expensive options out there.

The iXA-W404 from Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is a nice compromise with a lot of features if you're looking for something in a high quality, with a little lower price tag.

I see the future and it is MP3, not CDs. So said the stereo fellers when I was shopping. I'd go with a single CD player and easy MP3 connections. In-dash multiple CD players, especially factory jobs, are trouble prone. Again, so sayeth the stereo fellers. (SIL's Escape with fubar'd 5 CD player seemed to bear that out, along with several posts here)
Lots of good stuff out there, good luck with your selection.
