Ok folks im looking at a 2000 excursion xlt with a v10 automatic and 4x4, it has 104000 miles , paint is fair with some scratches and chips.. no rear heater, bench seats all the way blue cloth interior... dark blue exterior, dont like the aftermarket cd player they put it as it looks like aamature did it. i would prefer the stock unit. the tires are in great shape.
do you guys think this is worth the 6500$ this guy is asking, i offered him 6k cash and he wouldnt take it.
it also has a reciever hitch with a electric brake unit under the dash
one of the doors the lock doesnt come all the way up so you have to reach in and pull the lock **** to get it to open also.
Not sure where you are located but I would definitely look for any rusting problems. seems you are getting a base model ... price sounds fair, not a steal but I would say average private party asking price considering the cosmetic issues

With no rear heat it sounds like a government vehicle maybe? Does it have carpet?

no there isnt any carpet! come to think of it we live by a airforce base and they always buy blue vehicles! maybe it was one before him, he said he bought it from a guy 4 years ago or so..
i checked again and somone put a aftermarket heater in a compartment on the passanger rear cargo area, the toggle switch (aftermarket type) is on the steering column.. and the hoses are run to the rear heater behind the rear tire.. teh hoses are protected but you can see where they are rubbing on the leaf, making the leave shiny bare metal.. so that would be something i would have to address also..
Im still waiting and hoping somone will run a carfax on it for me in my other thread, ken run me a oasis and the cruise recall was done along with front drive shaft and the transfer case

I'd have to say $6k is too much or at least the very most I would want to pay then.
