what features do the limited have over the xlt? and can you get a xlt with that digital mpg gauge? where are them mpg gauges located in a excursion at?
Same as the 250s. They are overhead.

I don't know why Ford called the Excursions that you have been looking at XLTs. They are stripped down versions that, if on a F-250, would be called a XL.

My 2000 XLT has power driver seat, center console up front, overhead trip computer, cruise, alloy wheels, rear air/heat, am/fm/cd radio with cd changer in center console and rear audio controls w/ headphone jacks, keyless entry door pad, keyless entry fob, spare tire carpeted cover, and carpet.

hmm i guess for a 7.3 181k isnt too bad...but who knows what front end parts have been replaced? if you could get it cheap i'd go for it.

the main things differance from the mainstream XLTs VS limited is leather seats, auto heat/ac controls, memory seats, monotone paint, lighted running boards, woodgrain interior..more im forgetting im sure.

but some XLTs came pretty loaded...like mine has the dual power captin chais, factory DVD player, power pedles, 6 disk cd changer, backup sensors..thats the only reason i bought a xlt was it had almost everything i wanted except leather.

if you do buy that white one i wouldnt mind swaping wheels for my winter wheels..they are the alum 10 hole ones.

well i filled out the papers i think im taking delivery of the diesel, its got some dents and the interor dome lights dont work, drivers power lock is weak too so it has to be unlocked manually. seems like the dash lights are dim, but the headlights are BRITE! i dont know if one of the batterys are bad or what.. has the mpg gauge that is dim too..

9400$ total after the one year financing of 25% apr inhouse cal.. with 7000$ down.

thanks allot alaskan ex i think it the same color as yours! i will deff have to get some help with it from you sometimes.. ya it was priced at 8950$ then they added the 199$ fee for docs and the 30$ fee for dmv!!! u know them the screww me fees... and the 250$ will be the financing charge for the remainder by the time its payed off.. i can pay it off early and lower that fee though. and thats what im gonna do..

oh ya your the one the found it for me, so if anything goes wrong i know who to blame.. came with a hana montana sticker on the dome light that dont work too..

HAHA! well as long as your happy i guess i'm ok..if it goes to pot i'm in trouble!

not too bad i guess that price they had must have been a promo price or somthing, have you got any pictures of it? i just saw a quick glimpse on TV.

sounds like you didnt do too bad, and i'm sure your glad you got the 7.3 since you like them oil burners.

how did it drive? seem pretty tight? brakes smooth?

ya i had it burning the tires from cals to fireweed.. felt pretty good.. is got a dent on the drivers front fenter above the headlight, and a dent across the drivers door frame and rear driversside door frame, also the drivers mirror is all cracked up at the mount, still works though, power and heated.. you know the seats are leather heated also.. this thing is loded.. the mpg gauge is dim with the dash lights too so im thinking it has a bad ground somewhere or connection.

haha allight.

the limiteds came with polished alum wheels, same as the lariat super dutys. so i think your ok unless they were switched out.

first thing i would do is check the fuses, if one of the door sensors went out and they stuck on the other owner may have pulled the fuse.

actually just one of the middle row lights was on. its over the passangers mid row on teh drivers side. there so many lights in there its crazy.. andonly one works. i dont see how that many bulbs could be bad.. the runing boards lights work
