Does anyone know of a good solution for replacing the backing plates for the parking brake. I noticed a grinding noise coming from the rear wheels and when I removed my rotors parts and pieces of springs and clips fell out and the plates were just metal flakes. This is for a 03 F350.
kinda sucks but its not bad have to pull the axles lke he said i thnk you have to buy the whole assembly from ford for like 195 make sure you tell them where the caliper mounts front or back mount new seal maybe new bearings bolts right up my truck actually locked up on the road going like 35 mph it was crazy.
Thanks for the info. It will sure save me several hundo in labor. Is pulling the axle's a difficult job? I am not a mechanic but I do most of my own wrench turning.
