'48 clutch disc/pressure plate/flywheel
OK..this bonehead just read that if you're reusing the existing pressure plate be sure that its put back as marked to the flywheel when it it was removed.
I DIDN"T DO THAT
Now what?
Also..do I just drop the clutch disc down into the pressure plate (longer part of spline facing the rear) after bolting the bottom of the pressure plate?? Should I just try to line the disc as best as possible with the pressure plate circumference?
PLease help me out here.
Thanks

The pressure plate is not balanced to the flywheel, so you are OK by not marking how it came off. A spare transmission input shaft makes it easy to line up the disc. If you don't have one you can usually eyeball thru the splines to the pilot bearing and center it close enough to get it back together.

My local clutch shop also carries good PP bolts. As I recall they are the same as either SBF or SBC bolts.
