But like I said it's up to you. Good luck.
Did the keypad start blinking with you?

No mine did not blink. I wonder though..are you entering the numbers as those 5 digit codes or as one code? Just trying to figure out why you are having issues thats all. If you pause too long between numbers, it wont work. It is meant to be entered as one number until the lock pops. For instance. If you enter the first seven digits in one after the other with no pause, you will have entered three possible codes. 99991 and 99911 and 99111 ect. Every time you press a button, it can only remember the last five you did. The sixth from the last gets dropped automatic. As an example, If your code is 12345 you can enter 6578412345 and the locks will open.
Do you have an owners manual with the truck? It will show you how to program your own number once you find the factory code. Some folks have entered the 1300 digit sequence, found a code only to find it was an erasable one from a previous owner. If that happens continue entering the sequence until it pops again. That should be the factory code. You don't have to start from the beginning again. Just though I'd give you the heads up before it happened. I was lucky and the first set I found was the factory code.
I sure hope you get it.

</td> </tr> </tbody></table> <!-- / user info --> <!-- message, attachments, sig --> <!-- message --> OK, for some reason they don't come up on a FTE article search but while searching google I found these instructions which actually come from an FTE article. They are by far the most detailed set of directions I've seen.

Security Keyless Keypad Programming on 2002+ Super Duty and Excursions

(Note: These instructions should work with other Ford's as well. If you have specific locations and supplemental information for other Ford trucks and suv's please let us know).
When your vehicle was newly purchased from the dealer it came with a card in the owner’s manual packet that had the keypad code on it. The packet is often lost over time and as the vehicle trades owners the code to the Keyless Entry is lost. Ford Dealers wants some big money to get the code for you by plugging in their computer to retrieve the code or using the following method. There is a much easier way for you to get the code and you don’t need any tools or automotive knowledge. I’ll show you how and where to find the code and how to reset the Keyless Entry back to the factory code or your personal code number.

There are three ways to find to it. One is a lot easier than the other but less work if you have a good eye and great flashlight. There are some Excursions, F250 and F350s that have a different wiring system so the first location to look is just above the right front kick panel; the RAP module is black in color with the numbers on the front the same as the white module. If you look above the kick panel you can see it really clear without taking anything apart. If it is not at this location please follow the next step.

This part is not hard to do you will need to remove the front cover under the steering wheel that says fuse box. (It has 4 plastic screws to remove) under the dash, the five (5) digit code is on the Cream/white box behind the radio, look to the top right of the open fuse box cover through the wires. (Towards the fire wall look through where my finger is pointing). At the back firewall, look for a 5 digit code on a sticker on a cream/white box. This is not easy but if you try every angle I promise it will appear don’t forget to use a very powerful flashlight if you want to see it.

The second way is a more time consuming job because you have to remover the stereo and to the rear you’ll be able to see the 5 digit code very easy. This process can take 2-10 minutes.

This is a picture of the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module. This is the module you are looking for there is nothing that identifies it as the RAP module (Some RAP modules are Black in color & it could also be up side down). It is the only box in the dash with the large bold type set with five numbers on it these is the five (5) digit code you will need from the module. Write this number down this is the factory code for your Keyless Entry.

Now that you’ve got the code I’ll tell you how to use the Keyless entry and set-up your own code.

Make sure when pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad you press the middle of the buttons to ensure good contact with the controls.

Programming Your Own Personal Entry Code

1. Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when first digit is pressed).

2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step 1.

3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Enter each digit within five seconds of the previous one.

Your personal code does not replace the factory-set code. You can use either code to unlock your vehicle. Each time you set a new personal code the module will erase the previous one in favor of the new code. The factory-set code can not be erased.

Erasing Your Personal Code or A Prior Owner's Code

1. Enter the factory-set code.

2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step one 1.

3. Press the 7/8 and 9/0 controls at the same time within five seconds of step two.

The system will now only respond to the factory-set code.

Unlocking the Doors

1. Enter either the factory-set code or the personal code (Each digit must be pressed within five seconds of the prior digit). The interior lights will illuminate as soon as the first valid digit is pressed.

2. To unlock all the doors, enter the factory set code or a personal code and press the 3/4 control within five seconds of the drivers door unlocking.

Locking the Doors

1. Press 7/8 and 9/0 controls at the same time. The 5-digit code does not have to be entered to lock the doors.

Deactivating/Activating Auto-lock

1. Enter the five 5-digit code.

2. Press and hold 7/8 control.

3. Press and release 3/4 control while holding 7/8 control.

4. Release 7/8 control.

The horn will chirp once if auto-lock was deactivated or twice if auto-lock was activated

Ok, Just some clarification here.
When hitting these buttons
(1-2) (3-4) (5-6) (7-8) (9-0) for instance in my code is 1,2,3,4,5 do I hit the half of the button that has the 1? or do I depress the entire (1-2) key?

Outlaw - I've got an 03 EB as well and the pictorial instructions above were not the same as mine. Look inside the dash almost directly behind the climate controls. You'll see a section of white insulation closest to the climate control module. Move that out of the way and with a mirror look at the black box the insulation was covering up - it will have a label on it and that will be your code. Good luck reading it backwards with the mirror....

That sounds like something straight out of the ford owners manual,
get in the truck, tie your shoe lace, blink with your left eye, turn the ignition to on BUT DON"T START THE ENGINE, buckle your sealt belt, wave hello to a stranger.
Ill give it a try, thanks
All this to save 50 bucks and I drive a vehicle that gets 10 MPG hahhaha

You can just press the whole button for 1 or 2 ect. No need to press left or right side.

Your owners manual take sounds about right. Did you forget to put your left knee cap in your right ear? Luvit!

Ok this was helpful,
I was entering the first 5, then stopping _ _ _ _ _ then entering the next 5 _ _ _ _ _ then stopping so on & so forth.
You are saying I should enter the numbers 6578453938012412345 (3 seconds apart ) and once it hits the 12345 it will open .. Ahh I get it.

You are saying I should enter the numbers 6578453938012412345 (3 seconds apart ) and once it hits the 12345 it will open .. Ahh I get it.
Not necessarily should but could. I believe they have to be entered less than 5 seconds apart to work. When I did mine I would enter three digits with my right hand and cover them on my printout with my finger on my left hand and I could look back and get the next three ect. If I tried to do more than three at a crack I would forget. If you have someone who can read off the numbers for you it would be much easier. Once I had found my code I circled it on the printout and put it in the owners manual on the page with the directions how to program the personal number.
