My FIL aquired a 2000 SCrew Lariat 209,000 a few weeks ago, He calls me late week and tells me he doesnt have time to fix the brakes and provide the TLC it needs and i can have it if i want it and gives me a great price on it.

I go up and pick it up drive it around some this weekend, I Love the truck and so does my wife so i decide to buy it.
On saturday we had an ETAPS meeting just up from my house so i figured it would be a good time to get it thoroughly inspected. First item the brakes, i take a look under the wheel well and see a pair of vise grips clamped on the brake line!! So i pull the drivers side rear wheel off and this is what i find.......




Needless to say the caliper was stuck and the rotor was destroyed.

 

There are some AHs in this world. Glad the `00 has found a good home.

 

It was a repo, and the guy apparently had just let small stuff go for a long time.
