Well Misery, I'm back ( temporarily ). Proving extremely stubborn. If I had a fire wrench, I'd be applying it about now. Haven't even started on the second one yet ( that I'm going to put the engine from this first one on ). Don't want to snap this stupid bolt off ( did that on a different one already once, not fun ). Soaked it with WD-40 & will let it soak for a couple days to see what happens. This happens to me all the time. Quick, easy job, 3 hours later, I'm calling it all kinds of 5h1trolet & wondering why I even try to do this. Should have been done by now & it's going to sit till the weekend to soak. NOT my schedule. Plus he wants this one because he has a bag to fit it. Have another one ( that should be a quick easy fix ), but it's a different brand & not even designed for a bag.
Lawn mower engine. Since it's self-propelled, there's a cover for the belt too. That means the blade adapter has to come off too to remove that cover. Should have been simple, unhook the cables, pull the blade & adapter, take three bolts out & off. Not happening this time, two bolts turn okay, third one turns just enough to feel it move & that's it. Blade adapter still stuck to the crank. Having a lovely day in the neighborhood today. One of the reasons I put Never Seize on the crank when I take a blade adapter off ( after polishing slightly ).
