At least now my axles are 2.5" higher over the road, so the flooded underpasses are less of an issue.
There is one underpass in Stratford that will 'float your boat.' Not that long ago a car tried to drive through it iirc while it was relatively shallow and stalled and the water came up to their window sills before receding. Gives me pause to reconsider crossing flooded areas. Especially looking toward the future when I would have a 50 gallon or so auxiliary fuel tank that might be nearly empty trying to float my truck along one side. Surely the aux fuel tank isn't going to capsize me, but it would take weight off the tire, would have to hope the lockers engaged.
Steve, the van is riding / driving surprisingly well.
The 5.13 gears and the 35.4" tires have me within a few RPMs of stock and here I thought that my RPM's would be up there.
With 80 PSI in the tires, the Bilstein shocks, and the Centramatic wheel balancers the ride seems rather smooth, considering all I've read about the harsh ride 19.5" rimed tires are supposedly notorious for.
I hope all the stress and time it took to do the mods were well worth it!

The ride quality and performance came out better than I thought it would.
Plus they shaved about 40% off the bill including the basic rental car charges, so I believe my patience paid off.
The only stress now is waiting for the tax refund to then pay down some of the charge card bill so I'll again have more discretionary money in my banking account from week to week.
Having those big tires on my 4x4 van puts me in league with the 'Big Toys Boys'.
Sort of like beauty is only skin deep, many can't appreciate what lies under the body like engine & drive line mods, but they do take notice of what's going by.
