I would think it would, I think all trailer plugs follow the same standard guidelines & design.
Do you know if a 2008 plug is the same as a 2000 plug?????? If so you should be good to go, superstroker123.
I am not really sure but I would think they would have the same wiring at least, because they operate the same things, so I think the 2000 & 2008 plugs & harnesses are interchangeable,I think. The only thing though, is the wiring color code probably changed during those years, which could make wiring a little more time consuming and confusing. There are tow vehicle/trailer wiring diagrams and color code charts out there on the web, I think Hopkins has one, you might find a definite answer there, superstroker123.
im just wanting to unhook mine off the 2000 at the quick connect connector mounted to the frame and plug the 08 one in if the plugs are the same then i shouldnt need to do any wiring right
Probably not if the plugs are the same, however its possible Ford redesigned the wiring/connector layout on the 2008 quick connect plug, so some things might be switched around. But I would just go ahead try it if the plugs fit and then hook up a trailer that has a seven plug connector on it and test it. (best if you use one with trailer brakes) Good Luck, superstroker123
