94 E4OD Replacement Issues
I own a 94 F-150 4x4. I was having some trouble out of my transmission (noise out of low gear, then vibration at road speed, 175,000 miles, then got stuck in R). So I got a used transmission and changed it out. As I was taking out the old one I found the wiring connector on the right side had melted some (lost exhaust pipe a while back). Cleaned the melted plastic so I could get plugged in. Wiring looks OK. Just seems to be the plastic outside of connector. Got the replacement in and tested. Doesn't seem to be down shifting when in Drive. I can shift manually to 1 then to 2 as I start to move then to D. Trans will not down shift when you step on the gas. Checked linkage and repositioned but still the same thing. Seems to me to maybe be electrical. Does anyone have any ideas. I am looking for a new pigtail or wiring connector.
